Introduction to the Deity

Yuanshi Tianzun is one of the Three Pure Ones of Taoism. He resides in the Jade Purity Realm and holds an extremely high status in Taoist theology and ritual traditions, often used to express the cosmology of the original source of the Great Way and the creation of heaven and earth.

Images and Works

The images are often depicted in the dignified seated posture of a high deity or emperor. The emphasis is on solemnity, purity, and sacred order, rather than on a single “effectiveness” label.

This piece was re-composed by Master Zhijian based on traditional image-making elements, and each work is hand-painted in meticulous heavy-color style. Natural mineral pigments are used, and the crowns, robe patterns, ritual implements, and local details are finished with hand-applied gold detailing, so each piece will naturally vary in linework, color, and golden texture.

Production Process

Outline sketch → layer-by-layer color application → detailed refinement → hand-applied gold finishing. It is not printed, transferred, or mass-produced.

Offering and Shipping

After the work is completed, it is enshrined at a partner Taoist temple for 30 days according to the current process, and then protected packaging and shipping follow. Because each piece is hand-painted, production time and scheduling will vary depending on the complexity of the work and the current order volume.

Wearing and Display

It may be worn or displayed according to personal religious practice, and it can also be collected as a small-scale traditional Chinese deity artwork. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, high humidity, alcohol, and direct contact with chemical cleaners on the painted surface.
