Master Zhijian | Deity Painting, Gongbi & Seal Carving
Master Zhijian has long been engaged in meticulous deity image painting, seal carving, and traditional painting. DecaMystGate’s collaboration with him not only showcases finished works, but also places greater emphasis on publicly documenting the process from draft to completion.
How the work is completed
Initial outline in fine line drawing: Starting with the figure’s face, clothing folds, headwear, ritual implements, and overall composition.
Layered color application: Natural mineral pigments are used to gradually build up color and depth.
Detailed refinement: Facial features, armor, ritual implements, and pattern details are further developed.
Hand-applied gold detailing: Finally, the headwear, clothing folds, ritual implements, and selected gold accents are finished.
Therefore, even when using the same original composition, each piece will still retain natural differences in linework, color intensity, and gold detailing.
Why we continue to livestream
For DecaMystGate, “being able to see the process” is more convincing than simply saying “handmade.” Master Zhijian’s creations will continue to be shared publicly through livestreams and video, allowing viewers to judge the work, process, and craftsmanship for themselves.
