Led by a Daoist ritual master of high standing, the altar is set up according to the rites, the sacred star steps are performed, and a green memorial petition is presented to pray for disaster relief and blessings for all devotees in all directions, as well as consecration and spiritual attunement.

Rituals include an altar-opening Tai Sui worship ceremony, a wealth-vault replenishment rite, a blessing petition for dispelling calamities and easing misfortune, a Wenchang wisdom-enhancing ceremony, and ancestral salvation rites, among others.
