Original seal carving by Master Zhijian · hand-printed in cinnabar · 24K pure-gold inscription · 6 × 9 cm

This Guan Sheng Di Jun deity image begins with an original seal-carving composition by Master Zhijian and is then printed individually by hand with cinnabar pigment. The inscription on the front is written by hand in 24K pure gold, while the reverse is hand-inscribed with Taoist talismanic script by a senior Taoist ritual master.

24K pure-gold inscription

The inscription on the front is written in 24K pure gold rather than printed in a gold-colored ink. Its metallic sheen shifts naturally under different lighting and viewing angles. Because every piece is completed by hand, subtle differences in brushwork and gold coverage are part of the work.

Guan Sheng Di Jun

The historical figure Guan Yu was gradually deified over the centuries and became an important deity across Confucian, Buddhist, Taoist, and folk traditions. In Taoism he is widely revered as Guan Sheng Di Jun, with cultural associations including loyalty, protection, and the Martial God of Wealth.

Master Zhijian re-composes traditional Guan Di iconography through the language of seal carving, condensing the expression, armor, long beard, and dragon imagery into a compact 6 × 9 cm format while preserving a strong sense of presence and linework.

Carved first, then printed one by one

This is not an industrial print. After the seal-carving composition is completed, each piece is printed individually with cinnabar pigment. Variations in pressure, pigment density, paper, and hand technique create natural differences in tone, edges, and detail.

Hand-inscribed talismanic script on the reverse

The reverse is hand-inscribed by a senior Taoist ritual master according to the relevant religious tradition. The talismanic script is part of Taoist religious and cultural practice and is not presented as a guarantee of financial, health, career, relationship, or other personal outcomes.
