Original seal carving by Master Zhijian · Cinnabar impression · 24K pure-gold sacred name · 6 × 9 cm
Master Zhijian creates the original carved design, then each Doumu image is impressed by hand in cinnabar. The sacred name on the front is written in 24K pure gold; a senior Daoist ritual priest handwrites the talismanic text on the back.
24K pure-gold sacred name
The sacred name is written in 24K pure gold rather than printed gold colour. Its natural metallic lustre changes with light and viewing angle. Handwork leaves subtle differences in strokes, coverage and detail.
Doumu Yuanjun
Doumu is an important deity in Daoist star traditions, closely associated with the Northern Dipper, the Nine Emperors and star veneration. Devotees express wishes for relief from adversity, blessings, longevity and peace through rites, recitation and prayer.
This composition presents three visible faces, an intricate crown and joined palms to convey Doumu's solemn compassion. Master Zhijian translates the faces, crown and robes into carved lines, retaining rich layers within 6 × 9 cm.
Individually impressed from a hand-carved seal
The design is carved first, then impressed individually in cinnabar. Colour density, pressure, paper and edges naturally vary, leaving each print with its own traces of handwork.
Handwritten talismanic text on the back
A senior Daoist ritual priest handwrites the text according to the relevant tradition. These prints also receive 30 days of ritual blessing. The text belongs to religious culture and practice and does not guarantee health, wealth, career, relationship or other personal outcomes.
