Introduction to the Deity
In later Daoism and folk belief, Cihang Zhenren is often revered as a figure of compassion, relief from suffering, and guiding others to salvation. There is also long-standing mutual influence between this tradition and Guanyin devotion, and different traditions explain it in different ways.
Statues and Works
The pure vase, willow branch, and serene, dignified divine image are common visual motifs in later periods, emphasizing compassion and a cool, soothing aura.
This piece was re-composed by Master Zhijian based on traditional statue-making elements, and hand-painted piece by piece in the gongbi heavy-color style. It uses natural mineral pigments and hand-applied gold accents to finish the crown ornaments, robe folds, ritual implements, and partial details, so each piece will have natural variations in linework, color, and gold texture.
Production Process
Outline sketch → layered coloring → detailed refinement → hand-applied gold finishing. It is not printed, transferred, or mass-produced.
Offering and Shipping
After completion, the work is sent to a cooperating Daoist temple for offering for 30 days according to the current process, and then protected, packaged, and shipped. Because each piece is hand-painted, production time and scheduling will vary depending on the complexity of the work and the current order volume.
Wearing and Display
It may be worn or displayed according to personal devotional practice, and may also be collected as a small traditional Chinese religious figure. Avoid prolonged contact with water, high humidity, alcohol, and chemical cleaners directly on the artwork.
Note:This article presents traditional religious/folk belief culture and the actual creative process, and does not guarantee wealth, health, relationships, career, or any other personal outcome.
